Sleiman Enterprises applied for a zoning exception and an administrative deviation for Jeremiah’s Italian Ice at 4434 Hendricks Ave. in the Miramar Shopping Center.
Through Miramar Equities Inc., Sleiman Enterprises wants an exception for outdoor seating associated with a restaurant and an administrative deviation for parking and landscape reductions.
The deviation would be granted in the name of Bull Frog Partners II LLC, which does business as Jeremiah’s Italian Inc.
The 1,918-square-foot vacant building, developed in 1958, sits on 0.38 acre, which the application says “cannot reasonably accommodate all current landscaping and parking standards.”
The deviation request says the applicant seeks the deviation only for the occupancy of the tenant and intends to redevelop the parcel later.
The city is reviewing permit applications for McDonald’s to renovate restaurants at 4291 Southside Blvd. and 5911 New Kings Road, each at an estimated $350,000. Each store is about 3,000 square feet.
Work includes the installation of new modular front counters and self-order kiosks in the lobby, updated McCafes, new dining room decor and frozen beverage machines, and updated restroom fixtures.
