Olympus Insurance Co. announced Dec. 13 that it is opening its Southside Jacksonville headquarters this week in a move from Palm Beach Gardens to Prominence Office Park.

It said in a news release that it has hired employees and looks for more “for key roles at the new office.”

Olympus Insurance says it offers a competitive benefit package and invites job candidates to visit olympusinsurance.com/careers.

Posted openings include vice president of underwriting, controller, claims assistants, senior product development analyst, systems analyst, business/quality assurance analyst, policy services specialist and claims adjuster.

Olympus Insurance calls its employees “Olympians.” It was founded in 2007.

The company says it offers homeowner insurance products, including homeowners, condominium, town home and landlord property insurance statewide. It says it insures residential and investment property including homes, condos, rental properties, and valuable personal property.

It says it underwrites more than 82,000 policies in Florida, “and is eager to add to their vast team at the new corporate office.”

“We see a strong future for Olympus and are poised to grow our team with roots in North Florida, while continuing to provide the finest possible coverage and customer service to Florida property owners,” said CEO Steve Bitar in the release.

JAXUSA Partnership, the economic development division of JAX Chamber, announced Aug. 8 that Olympus would move its headquarters to Jacksonville and employ 200 people.

The city approved a permit Oct. 14 for Dav-Lin Interior Contractors to build-out 16,421 square feet of space for Olympus Insurance at the Prominence Office Park at a construction cost of $728,613.

The space is on the third floor of Prominence 600 at 8375 Dix Ellis Trail. Prominence Office Park is at Interstate 95, Baymeadows Road and Philips Highway.

Connie Turner Interiors Inc. is the space designer and planner.

Landlord CP Group announced Aug. 30 it signed two leases for almost 50,000 square feet of space at Prominence Office Park, its seven-building, 754,691-square-foot Jacksonville office development in the Baymeadows area.

One lease was for Olympus, the other was for AutoPoint, an auto dealership and service center software company expanding within the park.

JLL Managing Directors Michael Loftin and Jesse Shimp are the leasing agents for the development and brokered both agreements.

“Our agreement with Olympus Insurance is a testament to Prominence’s appeal for companies seeking modern, highly accessible space for their corporate headquarters,” said Josh Edwards, senior vice president at landlord CP Group, in a news release.

It said Olympus Insurance will occupy a 24,000-square-foot space.
