New chair, vice chair for 4th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission

The 4th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission has new leadership for the 2022-23 Bar year that ends July 1.

The commission interviews applicants for judicial vacancies in the 4th Circuit in Clay, Duval and Nassau counties and then recommends candidates to the governor’s office for appointment.

Patrick Joyce, principal at Milam Howard Nicandri & Gillam, was unanimously elected chair.

Helen Peacock Roberson, assistant general counsel for the city of Jacksonville, was unanimously elected vice chair.

Also on the commission:

• Karen Bowling, University of North Florida vice president of jobs and director of the UNF Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

• Clay County Attorney Courtney Grimm.

• Robert Harris, a partner at Harris Guidi Rosner.

• Patrick Kilbane, a partner and general counsel at Ullmann Wealth Partners.

• Patrick Krechowski, a partner at Balch & Bingham.

• Chanda Rogers, an attorney at Faltemier Rogers.

• Lanny Russell, a shareholder at Smith Hulsey & Busey.
