The St. Johns River Water Management District is reviewing plans for Tropical Smoothie Cafe at 5821 Beach Blvd. at Beach and University boulevards.
The restaurant design includes a double drive-thru.
Dyne Development of Little Rock, Arkansas, is the applicant. Taylor & White Inc. is the civil engineer.
Plans show the demolition of “The Chicken Koop” restaurant site and construction of Tropical Smoothie Cafe.
Colliers Executive Director Jason Ryals represents the property owner.
“Tropical Smoothie will be a great addition to the national retailers that are flocking to this trade area,” Ryals said Aug. 25 by email.
“Beach Blvd and University Blvd is a great example of infill redevelopment. The area combines excellent traffic and dense demographics which usually equals success for restaurants and retailers.”
A brochure says it is under contract.
