A second location for Mr. Clean Car Wash in Northeast Florida is at U.S. 1 North and Regalo Road in Palencia in St. Augustine.

MrCleanCarWash.com said it is entering Northeast Florida with at least two locations in Clay and St. Johns counties.

The first previously was identified as 890 Blanding Blvd. in Clay County.

In St. Johns County, Mr. Clean Car Wash will build a 3,202-square-foot building on 1.02 acres at the St. Augustine site.

The St. Johns River Water Management District is reviewing an application for the project on a vacant lot. Axis Infrastructure LLC of Alpharetta, Georgia, is the applicant.

Property records show the site is owned by Palencia Properties LLC.

The district plans show Mr. Clean Car Wash of Norcross, Georgia, as the developer and McCoy & Co. of Jacksonville as the owner.

In Clay County, Franklin Street Director of Retail Leasing Ricky Ostrofsky said real estate development company Hutton bought the 0.84-acre site of a former gas station for development of a Mr. Clean Car Wash.

Ostrofsky represented the seller, Foxlake Inc., which sold the property Aug. 5 to Hutton Orange Park FL ST LLC of Chattanooga, Tennessee, for $850,000.

Mr. Clean Car Wash, named for the well-known cleaning product, says it offers full-service washes as well as express exterior-only services. It offers monthly memberships. It is a licensed brand from Procter & Gamble.

It has been opening express washes in Florida.

The site shows locations in three states: 11 and one coming soon in Georgia; four with four more coming soon in Florida; and one coming soon in Tennessee.

According to yahoo.com, Bruce Arnett Sr. founded Carnett’s Car Wash in 1988 with his sons Bruce, Brett and Brandon in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

They entered a working relationship with a wholly owned subsidiary of Procter & Gamble to rebrand as Mr. Clean Car Wash in 2008.

The site says that in 2012, Carnett’s Management Company bought the operating company and became the exclusive licensee of the MCCW brand.
