Construction of the OakLeaf Hobby Lobby store, the area’s fifth, is in review at a job cost of $1.6 million.
The city is reviewing permits for the project that will combine three existing tenant spaces to create a 53,500-square-foot Hobby Lobby between SuperTarget and PetSmart.
The Hobby Lobby will be built at 9515 Crosshill Blvd., No. 101.
The three tenant spaces were AC Moore, OfficeMax and Lifeway, whose previous store is being expanded by 8,345 square feet to complete a rectangular space for Hobby Lobby.
BDG Architects of Jacksonville is the architect.
OakLeaf Town Center is in West Jacksonville at northwest Argyle Forest Boulevard and Old Middleburg Road.
Other anchors include Kohl’s, The Home Depot and Ross Dress for Less.
Hobby Lobby has three Jacksonville stores in Mandarin, North Jacksonville and the Town Center area. It also has one in St. Augustine.
