Breeze Airways and the Jacksonville Aviation Authority announced April 20 that the airline will launch nonstop service this summer from Jacksonville to Westchester Airport north of New York City.
The service begins June 30 with prices starting at $79 for a one-way ticket. The flights from Jacksonville International Airport will be offered Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
Westchester is in White Plains, New York, about 34 miles north of midtown Manhattan.
The announcement follows a March news conference where the airline said it would roll out nonstop service from Jacksonville International Airport to seven cities May 19 through Aug. 5, including Las Vegas.
JAA CEO Mark VanLoh said in the release that move shows Breeze Airways’ desire to grow in Jacksonville “before their first flight has taken off.”
“The airline’s nonstop service to Westchester Airport will provide travelers with low fares and more options when traveling to New York,” VanLoh said.
Breeze Airways began service in May 2021 primarily in the East and Southeastern U.S. The company says the airline is expanding west across the U.S. with 86 routes between 29 cities in 18 states.
Here is the rollout schedule and days of the week the flights will be offered from Jacksonville:
May 19: Richmond, Virginia (Thursday and Sunday.)
May 27: Columbus, Ohio (Friday and Monday); New Orleans (Friday and Monday); Providence, Rhode Island (Friday and Monday); Norfolk, Virginia (Friday and Monday.)
June 3: Hartford, Connecticut (Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Monday.)
