Mayo Clinic expects to open a Starbucks Coffee shop by year-end or January in the Davis Building at the Jacksonville campus.
Communications Manager Kevin Punsky said Sept. 26 that construction will start in the next few weeks.
The city issued a permit Sept. 23 for R.A. Heath Construction Inc. of Dacula, Georgia, to build-out 1,413 square feet of space at a cost of $428,450.
The address is 14390 Mayo Blvd. at the campus, which is at northwest San Pablo Road and Butler Boulevard.
The campus address is 4500 San Pablo Road S.
The shop is planned on the first floor of the eight-story Davis Building. The Davis and Cannaday buildings are two of the four main patient care buildings.
They are connected by an enclosed walkway.
