The auction of the former Stein Mart building on Jacksonville’s Southbank, originally scheduled for June 14-16, has been postponed for a month.
The listing for the sale by online commercial real estate exchange company Ten-X now says the auction will take place July 19-21.
Jacksonville-based fashion retailer Stein Mart Inc. had its headquarters in the building at 1200 Riverplace Blvd., but the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last year and went out of business, vacating its offices.
The Stein Mart name was removed from atop the building in November.
An affiliate of Virginia-based Lingerfelt Commonwealth Partners bought the 10-story, 200,627-square-foot building, developed in 1985, for $23.625 million in 2016, according to Duval County records. There also is a six-story adjacent parking garage
The online listing says starting bids for next month’s auction will be $7 million.
