After learning about low levels of food inventory at the Families of Slain Children Inc., the attorneys and staff of Farah & Farah in Jacksonville, Orange Park and St. Augustine collected and delivered hundreds of canned goods to the organization July 23.
The nonprofit provides grief counseling, home visitations, victim advocacy, victim compensation assistance, group support meetings and food pantry services to the families of homicide victims.
“At Farah & Farah, giving back to the community is at the heart of everything we do,” said Managing Partner Eddie Farah in a news release.
“Over the past five years, our firm has made a firm commitment to donate to the community to aid local causes. When we learned that FOSCI’s cupboard was almost bare, we saw this as an especially noble cause since this organization helps families who have experienced extreme tragedy.”
Farah & Farah also made a financial contribution to the organization for its annual Unity in the Community cookout.
