For a $50 administrative fee, the JBA Lawyer Referral Service offers a 30-minute consultation with an association member who can answer questions.
Legal issues that may be discussed include bankruptcy, collection matters, foreclosure, eviction and other landlord/tenant issues, family law, personal injury, employment issues, personal injury and criminal law.
If, after the consultation, you decide that you need further services of a lawyer, you may retain the lawyer you have consulted or another lawyer of your choice. The nature and extent of the fee which you may be charged for any additional services may be negotiated between you and your lawyer.
The service is available 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
