With assistance from the Baker County Sheriff’s Office, Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and Florida Highway Patrol, agents from the FBI’s Jacksonville office arrested Bradley Weeks of Macclenny Jan. 21 for his role in the events at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.

Weeks will appear in the U.S. District Court in Jacksonville to be charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority; violent entry; and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, according to a news release from the FBI.

“The arrest of Bradley Weeks is yet another example of the FBI’s commitment to hold accountable those who seek to incite violence or wreak havoc on our established institutions. In the days ahead, FBI Jacksonville will not waver in our efforts to coordinate with local, state, and federal partners and find justice for the acts committed at the U.S. Capitol,” said FBI Jacksonville Special Agent in Charge Rachel Rojas in the release.

A statement of facts filed along with the criminal complaint to the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia indicates the FBI received tips from several informants that Weeks posted a video on his Facebook page detailing his and others’ invasion of the Capitol building.

After obtaining a copy of the video, agents determined that “the video appears to be filmed by WEEKS from the Upper West Terrace of the Capitol. The first shot looks down on the crowd on the Capitol lawn. WEEKS then turns the camera showing the level where he is standing. He captures people standing on a nearby balustrade and a person also filming out towards the lawn,” according to the statement of facts.

Also included in the document is the transcript of a statement made by Weeks on the video:

“We’ve reached the steps. We’ve had to climb scaffolding. We’ve had to climb ladders. We’ve had to break things to get through, but we’ve gotten through. We’ve gotten through, and we are going to take back the Capitol! We’re taking back our country. This is our 1776! This is where it’s gonna happen! This is where Tyranny will fall! This is where America will rise! Look at this, America! Look at this!”

Rojas said the FBI asks the public to submit tips about people who incited or promoted violence of any kind on Jan. 6 in Washington, D.C., to (800) CALL-FBI or www.fbi.gov/US Capitol.
