National cookies and ice cream company Crumbl Cookies intends to open in Pablo Creek Plaza East at southeast Beach and Hodges boulevards in early April.
The city is reviewing a permit application for an estimated $75,000 build-out of 1,816 square feet at 3267 Hodges Blvd., No. 2.
“I love the city of Jacksonville and feel like it is an opportunity for this type of product,” said Nicholas Lai, franchise owner and member of Brother Bakers Jacksonville LLC.
Codes-ABC Inc. is handling code compliance.
The Logan, Utah-based Crumbl cookies and ice cream company, which started in 2017, features a rotating menu of cookies to provide four specialty flavors weekly, with warm milk chocolate chip and chilled sugar cookies always available.

It offers local delivery, curbside pickup and nationwide shipping, which can be accessed on the app or website.
The Shopping Center Group Partner Stephanie McCullough and Vice President Kelly Pulignano represent Pablo Creek Plaza East.
“Crumbl’s selection of Pablo Creek Plaza for their North Florida entry speaks to the center’s strong draw of a desirable consumer base that is pulled in through our excellent location and existing high quality tenants,” Pulignano said in an emailed statement.
Pablo Creek Plaza East is anchored by a Super Target store.
