Franchisee Petar Stamov intends to open the area’s second Culver’s restaurant at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 11 at Collins Road and Interstate 295.
Stamov said Jan. 10 the operating hours will be 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. The restaurant, at 7923 Parramore Road, employs 80 people.
Stamov said the location will seat 20 people outside and because of COVID-19 distancing restrictions, 50 inside.
“This is my first one,” Stamov said. “If everything goes well, I want to open more here. It’s a growing city.”
GPZ Solutions LLC, led by Stamov, is the franchisee for the 3,546-square-foot Culver’s restaurant in Collins Town Center in southwest Jacksonville.
Harmony Farms of Jacksonville L.L.C. sold the 1.04-acre site to GPZ Solutions on June 25 for $1.055 million.
The city issued a building permit April 27 at a construction cost of $1.45 million.
Another franchise group opened the area’s first Culver’s in July 2019 in Middleburg and intends to open its second about Aug. 1 along Gate Parkway in Jacksonville.
Franchisees also are working on locations in Arlington; in Yulee in Nassau County; and in St. Johns County.
Wisconsin-based Culver’s features ButterBurgers, frozen custard and cheese curds and has several more sites in review.
