The Juicy Crab plans to take the closed Sticky Fingers Ribhouse in River City Marketplace in North Jacksonville.

The city is reviewing a permit application for CHI Construction Inc. to renovate the building at 13150 City Station Drive at an estimated cost of $40,000.

A recording at the Sticky Fingers number at River City Marketplace says the location is “temporarily closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.”

Property records show the 5,946-square-foot restaurant was built in 2007.

Juicy Crab franchisee Leo Chen in Atlanta said Feb. 4 he expects to open the River City Marketplace restaurant about five months after the permit is issued.

His group, JC 13150 Jacksonville LLC, is registered with Juicy Crab Inc. at 1115 Mary Susan Drive in the Regency area of Arlington.

That’s the former Sweet Tomatoes where The Juicy Crab opened in 2017.
