RV One and Airstream of Jacksonville are converting a car dealership in Arlington into a superstore.
The city approved a permit Nov. 23 for Welday Services Group, of Columbus, Ohio, to renovate the existing building at 8281 Merrill Road at a cost of $1 million.
RV One and Airstream of Jacksonville filed plans with the city for a dealership at the address, which is next to Interstate 295.
The site originally was developed in 2004 by Crest Automotive Inc.
RV Retailer Florida Real Estate LLC of Fort Lauderdale bought the 7.5-acre site for $9 million on June 30. RV Retailer LLC is the applicant.
RV One intends to convert the existing automotive sales and service center for RV sales and service.
The project includes renovating the building and reworking the parking lot to accommodate RVs.
RV One Superstores has 14 dealerships, including six in Florida.
It also has Airstream of Tampa.
