The St. Johns River Water Management District and the Jacksonville Development Services Division are reviewing applications for the civil engineering of the Fountainhead Apartments at Flagler Center.
Jacksonville developer Spyglass-Fort LLC, led by President Donald Fort, proposes the 352-unit apartment community at northeast Kenan and Corklan drives. Fountainhead is planned as nine apartment buildings, a clubhouse with pool amenities, a children’s park, a dog park, garages and 694 parking spaces on 10.88 acres.
Abbey Civil Engineers Inc. of Neptune Beach is the civil engineer.
In August, Flagler Center, owned by Florida East Coast Railway LLC, made a minor modification to its planned unit development, PUD 2005-117-E, to increase the number of multifamily units by converting proposed office use to apartment units.
Since 1972, Fort Family Investments has owned and managed apartment communities in Jacksonville.
The company website, fortfamilyinv.com, lists eight communities in Duval County.
Fort also invests in commercial office and warehouse properties.
