The Jacksonville Chapter of the Federal Bar Association will present at noon Nov. 9 a virtual program about dealing with stress related to COVID-19.

Kristin Lothman, mind-body medicine counselor with Integrative Medicine & Health Group at Mayo Clinic Florida, will explain the science of how stress impacts the brain and body and discuss management strategies.

Registrants will receive a Zoom invitation for the event with instructions about how to participate.

Federal pro bono opportunities

The Jacksonville Division of the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida has a number of prisoner civil rights cases filed by pro se inmates for which the court intends to appoint counsel to represent the plaintiff.

The division said it is an opportunity to gain federal court experience while providing a public service.
