• Wolfson Children’s Hospital and Baptist Health Pulmonary Services promoted Thabata Batchelor to vice president of operations. She has been with Baptist Health for seven years and previously was assistant administrator of operations for Wolfson Children’s Hospital and Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. Batchelor will assume a greater role in the day-to-day administrative operations of Wolfson Children’s Hospital.
• Jacksonville-based Acosta appointed Chandra McCormack as chief financial officer. McCormack has 25 years of financial leadership experience in public and private companies, including nearly 20 years in the consumer packaged food and product industry. She most recently served as CFO for Greyhound Lines Inc. She spent 13 years with Dean Foods Co. in financial leadership roles. Acosta is a full-service sales and marketing agency in the consumer packaged goods industry.
• Dr. Erika Hamer, who owns Ponte Vedra Wellness Center in Ponte Vedra Beach and Nocatee, will lead the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce board as chair for fiscal 2020-21. She was vice chair in 2019-20.
