Cowford Chophouse announced May 6 that beginning May 8 it will be open at 25% capacity 4-10 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday.

The happy hour menu will be served at the rooftop bar from 4-7 p.m. and dinner service will be available throughout the restaurant from 5-10 p.m.

The Downtown restaurant is at 101 E. Bay St.

The news release says that in addition to the restaurant’s previous safety and sanitation procedures, additional measures will be implemented including daily sanitization of the entire building and disinfecting door handles, restrooms and elevators on a 30-minute schedule.

Hand sanitizer will available at the front door, in the kitchen and in elevators.

Tables will be spaced 6 feet apart per local guidelines and will be sanitized between guest seatings.

Staff members’ temperatures will be measured at the beginning of each shift.  A staff member whose temperature is higher than 100.4 F or who shows symptoms of coronavirus will be directed to leave the restaurant until tested and/or cleared to return to work.

“We will continue to follow all guidelines provided by federal, state and local officials. As Gov. DeSantis and Mayor Curry announce further details about reopening the city, we will reevaluate and keep guests informed on all updates regarding Cowford’s operations,” the release states.
