Statistics for hotel occupancy and revenue continue to be down across the board because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but all categories improved in June.

All conventions and groups that were booked for June before the pandemic canceled, but transient business and tourist travel grew by nearly 42% compared with May.

Occupancy was 53.7% with an average daily rate of $82.05.

Room revenue was $23.6 million, about $16.6 million less than June 2019.

Year-to-date occupancy through June 30 is 55.3%, which is 28% below that period last year.

Room revenue was $154.9 million, $89 million less than the same period in 2019.
