Cinemark at Durbin Park will reopen Aug. 21, according to a news release.
The theater will offer new and classic movies upon reopening. Guests also can book a private screening for up to 20 guests for $99.
Theaters will reopen with “The Cinemark Standard” cleanliness policies in place. Showtimes will be staggered to maximize social distancing and seat-buffering technology will automatically keep guests from booking directly next to another party.
Face masks are mandatory, and can only be removed for eating and drinking in the theater.
Auditoriums will be sanitized every morning and handrails and occupied seats will be cleaned between showings. High touch areas like concession stands, door handles, drink stations, self-ticketing kiosks, benches and restrooms will be sanitized every 30 minutes.
Cash payments no longer are accepted at the concession stand. Cash can be exchanged inside the theater for gift cards, which will be be accepted.
Guests who don’t feel well can get a refund for their ticket.
Cinemark postponed its reopening twice, initially scheduled for July 3 followed by a plan to resume operations July 24, as U.S. movie studios delayed release of summer blockbuster movies.
Cinemark Tinseltown and XD theater reopened Aug. 14 as part of the company’s trial run to test COVID-19 protocols.
