Florida Coastal School of Law recorded a 71% first-time Florida Bar examination pass rate for July, according to results released Monday.
That places the Jacksonville law school seventh out of 11 law schools in the state and is Florida Coastal’s highest first-time pass rate since the July 2015 Bar exam, according to a news release from the school.
Florida Coastal’s first-time pass rate was higher than Nova Southeastern School of Law (65.9%), Florida A&M College of Law (61.1%), Barry University School of Law (57.8%) and Ave Maria School of Law (52.6%).
Florida International University College of Law was No. 1 at 95.7%.
The University of Florida Levin College of Law was second at 87.9%, followed by Florida State University College of Law, 86.8%; University of Miami School of Law, 80.8%; Stetson Univerity Colege of Law, 77.6%; and St. Thomas University College of Law, 71.4%.
The average for all who took the exam in July was 73.9%.
“Along with my colleague, professor Leigh Scales, we had the honor to personally teach Florida Coastal’s Bar preparation courses and these results show how exceptionally hard our graduates worked, and that these Bar classes are working,” said Jennifer Reiber, interim dean at Florida Coastal, in the release.
