After the initial announcement in 2017, St. Vincent’s HealthCare officially changed its name to Ascension St. Vincent’s, according to a news release.
The health system has been changing its signs for the past year, according to building permits.
The decision was made as part of the system’s national effort to make it clearer and easier for patients to access its care.
Four of Ascension St. Vincent’s facilities also have changed:
• St. Vincent’s Medical Center Clay County is Ascension St. Vincent’s Clay County.
• St. Vincent’s Medical Center Riverside is Ascension St. Vincent’s Riverside.
• St. Vincent’s Medical Center Southside is Ascension St. Vincent’s Southside.
• St. Catherine Labouré Place is Ascension St. Catherine Labouré Place.
Ascension St. Vincent’s primary care, cardiology and pediatrics offices will operate under the Ascension Medical Group name.
“By connecting the care we provide, we make it easier for patients and communities to find the care they need, when and how they need it,” said Ascension Chief Marketing and Communications Officer Nick Ragone.
“You still see the doctor you know and trust, but now you know your doctor is connected to other experts and specialists across the state and across the country, all dedicated to providing care specific to your individual needs.”
