A group of investors paid $2.22 million for a 5,613-square-foot building in the heart of San Marco Square.
Husein Cumber and brothers Ryan and Jonathan Davis bought the property at 1958-1966 San Marco Blvd. It was built in 1927.
The property comprises four spaces for retailers that include the Reve women’s clothing store, Miriam’s Jewelry, Stubbees honey purveyors and a vacant space.
JuiceBox restaurant, which serves smoothies, juices and acai bowls, plans to open in the vacant space. Its other locations are near Tinseltown and in Riverside near Ascension St. Vincent’s.
The investors bought the property Oct. 25 from Deco Partnership LLC of Ponte Vedra Beach.
Ryan Davis is president of Piper Homes and a member of the Jacksonville Historic Preservation Commission.
Jonathan Davis is principal at iRep Direct LLC, a media and marketing company.
Cumber is executive vice president of corporate development for Florida East Coast Industries.
Ryan Davis said their offices are adjacent to each other in San Marco and they decided to invest together.
He said the “opportunity came up and we wanted to see it flourish and be more invested in San Marco Square.” They have no immediate plans for changes to the property.
The Davis brother also are partners in the San Marco Theatre.
The investor group formed New Deco Two LLC to secure a mortgage from Deco Partnership LLC for $1.11 million. Deco Partnership LLC is an investment entity comprising individuals who have investments in other properties in San Marco Square.
New Deco Two LLC is managed by Cumber and Blue Longhorn San Marco LLC, managed by Husein and LeAnna Cumber, District 5 council member.
