Visit Jacksonville’s Downtown visitor center along Laura Street near Monroe Street is for lease.
About 2,900 square feet of “historic retail space” on the first floor of the Greenleaf & Crosby Building at 208 N. Laura St. is listed by Matthew Clark of Prime Realty Inc. for rent at $18 a square foot.
The Downtown center, one of three, is moving a few blocks south to a space along the St. Johns River at the Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts, said Visit Jacksonville spokeswoman Patty Winters.
The other visitor centers are in the baggage claim area at Jacksonville International Airport and at 381 Beach Blvd. In Jacksonville Beach.
Visit Jacksonville, the tourism and convention bureau for Jacksonville and the Beaches, maintains the centers to allow tourists to learn about the area and pick up brochures about local activities and attractions.
Winters also said that Visit Jacksonville’s lease for the office space it occupies on the upper floors of the building will expire next year.
The next address for Visit Jacksonville is not determined but “we’ll be moving out of this building next year,” she said.
