Planet Fitness will take over the former Bailey’s Health & Fitness at 253 Royal Palm Drive in Atlantic Beach. Elias Hionides with Petra, who represented the landlord, said demolition permits were pulled to renovate the 22,000 square feet of space. He said Joseph Lentz and Tommy Ellis of Cantrell Morgan represented Planet Fitness.
• Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics is renovating its St. Johns Town Center store at a cost of $64,500 and its store at The Avenues mall at a cost of $95,000.
• Build-out was approved for The White Magnolia Bridal Collection at 1555 San Marco Blvd. RJ Atlantic Builders Inc. is the contractor for the $85,000 project.
• A retail and restaurant building called Campus Corner is planned on 1.42 acres in North Jacksonville at Dunn Avenue and North Campus Boulevard. No tenants are identified for the 4,864-square-foot building. Plans show two retail units totaling 3,072 square feet and a high-turnover, 20-seat restaurant of 1,792 square feet. Dunn Jax LLC is the owner and ShayCore Enterprises is the agent. Dunn Jax’s manager is retail developer Leonard Setzer. The city issued concurrency reservation and mobility fee certificates. The fee was calculated to be $31,738 to mitigate the traffic impact. The city is reviewing civil site plans.
