Ash Construction LLC will build a 128-room, almost 91,000-square-foot Cambria hotel on 3.44 acres at 7800 Ozark Drive in Hampton Village, east of Interstate 295 near Baymeadows Road East.
The city issued a building permit July 15 for the $1.48 million project.
Cambria Hotels is a brand of Choice Hotels International. The city also issued a concurrency reservation certificate for the project, which is owned by Ozark Investment Group LLC, affiliated with Ash Properties. Plans and a news release say it will be five stories while the permit shows six stories.
The city issued a permit for Pecan Tree Development LLC to renovate the public areas of the Crowne Plaza Jacksonville Airport hotel at 14670 Duval Road at a cost of $2.5 million.
It is part of a $10 million renovation of the 1980s era hotel on about 10 acres that should be completed by year-end 2020.
The city issued a permit for Lippe Construction to renovate the Courtyard by Marriott Jacksonville hotel at 9815 Lantern St. in Arlington at a cost of $469,280.
