The Cowford Chophouse, 101 E. Bay St., was named one of Florida’s top 10 buildings in the Florida Association of the American Institute of Architects 2018 People’s Choice Awards.
Cowford competed against 39 buildings statewide in the competition, which highlights architecture that helps meet the needs of communities through innovative design.
Jacksonville-based architecture and interior design group Design Cooperative and Danis Construction restored the historic Bostwick Building into the restaurant, owned by Jacques Klempf.

The college has been without a president since Cynthia Bioteau retired May 31 after four years as president. Kevin Hyde, a partner at Foley & Lardner, became interim president after a search for the interim position was completed before Bioteau’s retirement.
