A Virginia-based developer is planning to add 162 single-family home lots to the Eagle Landing neighborhood in OakLeaf Plantation in Clay County.
Roger Arrowsmith, president of the Florida division of East West Partners, said the additional homes will be built in two phases, with about 70 homes in the first phase.
The developer submitted site plans for the project’s first phase to the St. Johns River Water Management District. They show the homes and two ponds will be built on 72 acres.
The project will require East West Partners, headquartered in Midlothian, Virginia, to build a road, called Tynes Boulevard.
Arrowsmith said the Eagle Landing community will have about 1,500 homes after the additional 162 homes are built.
Homes in the community range from $200,000 to more than $1 million, according to the East West Partners website.
The community includes an 18-hole golf course, parks, playgrounds, hiking trails, a heated pool and water slide. It borders the 24,000-acre Jennings State Forest.
