Wednesday morning, Buck Williams, a financial adviser at UBS Financial Services, was moving some personal items back into his office on the 30th floor at Wells Fargo Center.

“It’s great to be back home,” he said.

After being closed for almost three weeks after the St. Johns River flooded the basement and shut down the elevators and utilities, the building is slowly coming back to life.

Many displaced tenants set up temporary operations at other locations and are choosing to schedule their return this weekend or in some cases, next weekend.

While Wells Fargo Center is back in business above the ground, restoration of the two-level basement that was flooded during Hurricane Irma was still underway Wednesday morning.
