On June 1, the Downtown Development Review Board will look at providing final approvals for two new residential projects along the St. Johns River, as well as new signage for a Downtown building. The DDRB meeting is at 2 p.m. in the Lynwood Roberts Room at City Hall.
Ventures residential building
The Ventures Residential Development is a proposed 13-story building with 300 apartments on 2.9 acres at the former Hines Property on the Southbank. If approved, the project would include a three-level parking garage with 300 spaces and surface parking for 59 vehicles. Renderings show 53,000 square feet of open space along the riverfront and an expansion of the Southbank Riverwalk. Ventures would include a courtyard with a pool and other amenities in the center of the U-shaped tower facing the river. Niles Bolton Associates Inc. is the architect and Connelly & Wicker Inc. is the site engineer.
Laura Street signage
An exemption is being sought by the Harbinger sign co. to allow for more first-floor signage space for businesses at 100 N. Laura St. The building is home to offices, a gym, a banking center and the new Bellwether restaurant.
Vista Brooklyn
A rooftop pool and lounge highlight the newest residential tower proposed for the Brooklyn neighborhood. Vista Brooklyn is a 10-story mixed-use project at 200 Riverside Ave, between 220 Riverside and Brooklyn Station. It includes 14,000 square feet of retail on the first and second floors and 308 apartments. The project includes an eight-story parking garage with 450 spaces. Renderings from JDavis Architects show a rooftop pool and clubhouse facing Downtown. The project is being developed by Bristol Development Group LLC. and NAI Hallmark Partners LLC.
