Jacksonville-based International Décor Outlet said it will open its Regency Square Mall location April 6, starting with five stores and a restaurant in the first phase.

IDO is a direct-to-consumer marketer of furnishings, fixtures and home décor. The 300,000-square-foot outlet is in the West Mall at Regency at 9501 Arlington Expressway.

Marketing Director Stuart Simpson said the business will open stores in phases over the next few months.

IDO also is developing 100,000 square feet of that space for “AsianTown,” comprising retail, dining and entertainment from China, Japan, Korea, India and Thailand.

That will take about a third of the space and will open between Dillard’s clearance center and the closed Sears building.

Among the first stores IDO intends to open in Regency will be Faenza, which makes tile, fixtures and ceramics; and Royal, Oceanside Patio and the Captain’s Catch restaurant. Upcoming stores include those selling furniture, lighting and European-styled appliances, Simpson said.

IDO said it will open 86 stores and restaurants at its IDO Florida Outlet and work with manufacturers in Europe, Asia and the Americas.

It also said it facilitates the development of U.S.-based retail space, staffing and technology and helps overseas manufacturers comply with regulatory issues.
