The nearly completed Amazon fulfillment center is under development at Interstate 295 and Duval Road near Jacksonville International airport. After entering, workers will find a parking lot with 2,808 employee spaces.
Near the center of the building is the main entry. Signs on the door indicate handguns are not allowed. The fullfillment center is landscaped, with palm trees running the length of the building.
Trucks will bring in and haul out merchandise that workers will pick and pack. Loading docks span the length of the rear of the fullfillment center at 12900 Pecan Park Road.
Hundreds turned out for Amazon job fairs this week, as the company works to hire about 1,500 people for its 2.4 million-square-foot fulfillment center at 12900 Pecan Park Road in Northwest Jacksonville. Candidates are encouraged to apply online at amazondelivers.jobs and schedule an interview for next week at the Prime Osborn Convention Center. Meanwhile, construction crews are completing the facility, which is expected to open by September.
