Amazon did not specify the jobs being hired.

It said full-time jobs are available with comprehensive benefits starting on the first day that include medical, dental and vision insurance as well as 401(k) and company stock awards.

Amazon also offers full-time employees programs like Career Choice, where the company will pre-pay up to 95 percent of tuition for courses related to in-demand fields, regardless of whether the skills are relevant to a career at Amazon.

Amazon will open two fulfillment centers at 12900 Pecan Park Road and 13333 103rd St., creating at least 2,700 jobs.

The bulk of those jobs are warehouse jobs in the fulfillment centers.
