Stein Mart Inc. on Thursday announced interim CEO Hunt Hawkins has been given the position of permanent chief executive officer.
In addition, the Jacksonville-based fashion retailer hired MaryAnne Morin as president, with responsibilities for merchandising and marketing.
Morin has merchandising experience with several retailers. Most recently, she was chief merchant and executive vice president of Lord & Taylor and Hudson’s Bay.
Hawkins had been serving as interim CEO since September after the sudden resignation of Dawn Robertson, who left after only six months on the job amid concerns she was moving too quickly with new marketing strategies.
Hawkins has been with Stein Mart since 1994 and was serving as president and chief operating officer before becoming interim CEO.
