The site of a planned apartment community in Arlington near Regency Square Mall is now under the ownership of the developer.
Rich Properties LLC of Port St. Lucie has closed on a 28.25-acre site at 9150 Lone Star Road, just west of the Southside Connector, where it plans to build a 378-unit community.
Rich Properties purchased the land from Indigo Jax Apartments LLC of Coral Gables for $3.5 million.
Ibis Pointe Apartments will comprise 108 one-bedroom, 222 two-bedroom and 48 three-bedroom units among 20 buildings, along with garage structures.
Planned amenities include a clubhouse and pool, tennis court, soccer field, tot lot and dog walk.
Jerome L. Rich and Jodi Lynn Rich own Richbuilt Group of Jacksonville and parent company Rich Properties.
Bradley Coe, Douglas Blair and Morgan Williams of Colliers International Northeast Florida brokered the sale.
“The purchasing entity is a vertically integrated private company that specializes in developing, building and managing apartment communities and they presently own a portfolio of over 3,000 units located throughout Florida,” Coe said.
The company owns properties in West Palm Beach, Palm Springs, Port St. Lucie, St. Lucie West, Fort Pierce, Tallahassee, Palm Bay, Naples, Stuart and Fort Myers.
The apartment community will be set among new single-family subdivisions that are underway in the Mill Creek area, with 336 single-family homes under development in two subdivisions both north and south of the Ibis Pointe site.
D.R. Horton Homes is building in Mill Creek West and Lennar in Mill Creek North.
