Miami Grill is remodeling at 9575 Regency Square Blvd. N. and expects to open its first Jacksonville restaurant by early October.
The building was a Zaxby’s, whose owners sold it to Miami Grill and built a new store next door. Miami Grill said more Jacksonville sites are in review.
The former Miami Subs chain closed a nearby restaurant in 2003.
Miami Subs Grill LLC, formed in 2009, is based in Fort Lauderdale. Miamisubs.com lists almost 40 locations open or coming soon, primarily in South Florida.
