The Jacksonville Bar Association Sports League completed the first successful season of its basketball resurgence and crowned a champion last week.
Led by sharp shooting and strong bench play, The Defenders, sponsored by the Public Defender’s Office, completed their undefeated season in championship fashion, defeating the second-seeded team from Heekin, Malin, & Wenzel in the final game.
The competition was strong, the teams were well matched and much fun was had throughout the season as teams from the Public Defender’s Office, State Attorney’s Office, Akerman, Heekin Malin & Wenzel and the Super Team of free agents competed for glory.
