The largest Home & Patio Show since the housing market went south nearly 10 years ago opens today at the Prime Osborn Convention Center.

Nearly 400 exhibits will display home improvement products and accessories, a 10 percent increase compared to last year’s spring show.

Some of the vendors will be familiar to people who attend the show each year and some won’t, said Cristian Moore, group manager for Marketplace Events, producers of the event.

“A lot of people are back who haven’t been at the show for several years,” he said. “And we have about 150 new exhibitors who are showing their businesses in Jacksonville for the first time.”

New products include home automation systems, eco-friendly building materials and home interior design products, he said.

Celebrity guests include Alison Victoria, host of DIY network’s “Crashers,” Andy and Candis Meredith from HGTV’s “Old Home Love” and designer Lucy Farmer from “Beach Flip,” also on HGTV.

The show is open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. today and Friday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday.
