The historic Elks Club Building is the latest addition to the list of Downtown office buildings sold since the commercial real estate market began rebounding after the recession.
A deed listing the sale price of $4.5 million was recorded Wednesday with the Duval County Clerk of Courts for Elks Building Partners LP in Atlanta.
IberiaBank issued a $2.6 million mortgage to Elks Club Investments LLC principal Randy Dieu, a real estate investor based in Los Angeles.
The sale was brokered by Prime Realty Vice President Matthew Clark.
The 28,400-square-foot, two-story Mediterranean Revival-style structure at the corner of Adams and Laura streets was dedicated in 1926 as the headquarters for the local chapter of the Elks Club. It was listed in 2000 on the National Register of Historic Places.
Tenants include Cathedral Arts Project, Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches, La Cena Ristorante and one of Downtown’s newest businesses, Mocha Misk’i Brownie Shop.
