Judicial Relations

Chairs: Heather Quick and D. Rodney Brown

Goals for the year: To plan, implement and coordinate programs for better relations between the Bench and Bar, including the Judges Sidebar Luncheon and the biannual judicial evaluations administered by The Jacksonville Bar Association. Also, we will provide information to the public to ease court access.

How to get involved: Attend a Judicial Relations Committee meeting, visit jaxbar.org/committees/ or contact [email protected] or [email protected].

Health Law

Chairs: Jana Kolarik Anderson and Beverly Pascoe

Goals for the year: Our goals are to provide educational and networking opportunities for the local health law Bar. Health lawyers advise on “traditional” compliance questions, transactions, government enforcement activity and other health care-related litigation. Health law is evolving and government audits and enforcement have increased, so providing a forum to stay informed is valuable.

How to get involved: Contact Jana Anderson at Foley & Lardner LLP.

Solo Practitioner/Small Firm

Chairs: Matt Hinson and Rick Britton

Goals for the year: To continue building resources and opportunities for solo practitioners and small firms to efficiently and effectively administer their law practices.

How to get involved: Join the committee through your member login on the JBA website and become active and attend events. We host multiple events each year, including networking socials and luncheons.

Governmental Relations

Chairs: Loree French and Ingrid Suarez Osborn

Goals for the year: The Governmental Relations Committee is a nonpartisan committee that serves to inform JBA members of current and upcoming laws, regulations and various governmental affairs. The committee works to coordinate with other sections of the JBA to provide educational opportunities and tools for the membership on relevant issues.

How to get involved: Watch for our upcoming event in February: Tallahassee “Walk the Halls” at the Capitol. Attend our committee’s meetings before each JBA monthly luncheon. Visit our committee page or email us for more information.
