A new Southside apartment project has a name.
Documents show a proposed 260-unit complex at the southwest corner of A.C. Skinner Parkway and Belfort Road will be called Portiva.
A schematic shows a single-story complex with a large interior courtyard and units lining the perimeter on all four sides.
Rimrock Devlin Development LLC bought the 7.3-acre parcel this year for $2 million.
It recently brought on LIV Development LLC as a development partner.
The Birmingham, Ala., company specializes in multifamily apartment development throughout the Sunbelt region.
Rimrock Devlin principal Wally Devlin said it’s the first time his company partnered with LIV.
The LIV team is the design lead for Portiva, but Rimrock Devlin is still the owner.
Details won’t be finalized until March, but Devlin said, “It will be like the (St. Johns) Town Center. It’s going to be a very upscale deal.”
