The Young Lawyers Section Website Committee and The Jacksonville Bar Association have been working behind the scenes to provide members a revitalized webpage with the most up-to-date information on events and committees.
With the launch of our new page, we have taken the guesswork out of getting involved with YLS.
The new portal is accessible to members at jaxbar.org/young-lawyers-section-2/.
Members are provided a comprehensive list of YLS committees with descriptions and committee information available when you click the desired link.
Photos with contact information for each committee chair and co-chair are included along with a list of committee members.
You can find information about scheduled meetings and special events within each committee page.
In addition, YLS members can sign up for committees directly through the webpage.
If you are new to the YLS or have been longing to be more involved, now is your chance.
To add yourself to a committee, you must be logged in as a JBA member and on your member page. Add or update your member profile and post a picture of yourself.
Then click Join a Committee and scroll down to the list. Select the group or groups you would like join –– hold the control key and click more than one if you would like to join multiple committees.
Current members need to add themselves to their committees in order to update the new website roster.
After you have been added, you will see your name under the member roster on the corresponding committee page and will start receiving communication regarding upcoming events for your committees.

The YLS Board of Governors looks forward to improving access to information and opportunities and encouraging even greater participation in the Jacksonville legal community.
With the new website, there is no excuse not to be involved.
