Say a final goodbye to the former Two Doors Down restaurant and another vacant property at Park and Forest streets because they’re coming down.

The city approved permits Tuesday to demolish the structures at 436 and 444 Park St. for construction of a Gate convenience store and gas station.

Realco Recycling Co. Inc. is the contractor to remove the buildings at a cost of $50,000.

Gate Petroleum Co. bought the 2-acre site in September for $2 million and has said it intends to start construction in January.

Gate spokeswoman Misty Skipper said previously that construction should be completed by late 2017.

The store, about 6,500 square feet, will feature Gate’s Fresh Kitchen concept.

The site included the building where the popular Two Doors Down restaurant operated for six years.

Operator Norm Abraham, who leased the property, closed the restaurant in November 2015 after landlord Ware Family Realty LLC decided to sell the site to Gate.

The location is just off Interstate 95 in the Brooklyn and Riverside areas.
