Bench and Bar Professionalism
Chairs: Becky Barlow and Ashley Greene
Goals for the year: To support President Giselle Carson in any manner she may request; make preliminary plans for next years’ seminar; and continue to “enhance communication, constructive problem solving, respect, and courtesy between judges and lawyers” as ordered by the Florida Supreme Court through the 4th Judicial Circuit Local Professionalism Panel.

Membership
Chairs: Megan Kelberman and Laura Renstrom
Goals for the year: The mission of the Membership Committee is to develop new and inventive ways to retain and promote membership with the JBA. Our goal is to re-energize membership and strengthen interaction between members and the community. We are crafting fresh ideas to attract new members to the JBA and to retain current membership, including improved marketing and collaboration with other Bar organizations, non-lawyer professionals, and the community at large. The Membership Committee intends to expand benefits to JBA members and make JBA membership even more meaningful.

Human Rights
Chairs: Yaima Coto and Crystal Freed
Goals for the year: To become more visible in the community. We are planning a “Know Your Rights” community event in January. The big ticket item is a subcommittee that has been in the works for over a year now that would comprehensively address the legal needs of human trafficking survivors. This effort started to take shape last year and now, thanks to the leadership of the JBA, FCSL, JALA and many dedicated pro-bono attorneys, we are ready to start providing these services to many members of our community.
