The Robert M. Foster American Inn of Court in Nassau has begun the David A. Hallman Lecture Series on ethics and the practice of law to posthumously honor the former county attorney.
The award recognizes Hallman’s “dedication to the principles and high ideals of professional conduct in the practice of law,” according to a news release.
Former Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice Major B. Harding gave the first lecture in June at the courthouse in Fernandina Beach. Harding is a former 4th Circuit judge. Harding’s lecture was followed by a reception and dinner.
Nelson Mullins moves into new BofA offices
Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough moved into more than 13,000 square feet of office space on the 41st floor of the Bank of America Tower.

The space is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and offers one large and two smaller conference areas.
Through a corporate partnership with the firm, local artists will display their works in the new public area.
Nelson Mullins opened its Jacksonville office in June 2013. It has since grown to house nine attorneys providing legal services ranging from business transactions and disputes, real estate services, securities law and corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial and employment litigation, among others.
