After his recent announcement that he is exploring a run for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016, Jeb Bush is resigning from the board of directors of Rayonier Inc.

Jacksonville-based Rayonier announced Bush’s resignation in a brief Securities and Exchange Commission filing Monday, saying the resignation is effective as Wednesday.

“Bush stated that there are no disagreements between the company and him related to the company’s operations, policies or practices,” the filing said, giving no other reason for his resignation.

The former Florida governor has served on Rayonier’s board since 2008, after his second term as governor ended in 2007.

Last week, Tenet Healthcare Corp. announced Bush had resigned from its board of directors.

According to Rayonier’s last proxy statement, Bush recently served as a director of one other public company, Swisher Hygiene Inc., but he left that board in June 2013.
