The Jacksonville Light Parade will be 7 p.m. Nov. 24, according to a news release from the City.

It will again be a partnership with private organizations and local supporters, similar to last year’s event.

Boat captains and crews are able to register their vessels for free, but space is limited to the first 100 boats.

The parade includes festively decorated boats of all shapes and sizes that are showcased on the St. Johns River through Downtown. Partners include the City, the Landing, The Freedom Boat Club, Visit Jacksonville, Downtown Vision Inc. and the Jacksonville Maritime Association.

“I applaud the civic-minded individuals who are supporting this long standing tradition. The call for boaters is officially open,” said Mayor Alvin Brown, in the release.
