Nearing its 60th birthday, the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair returned Wednesday to the near EverBank Field in Downtown Jacksonville.
The fair will be open until Nov. 11 with gates opening on most weekdays at 5 p.m. On Fridays the fair will open at 3 p.m.
The event strives to offer the latest in agriculture, art and entertainment showcased by the people of Jacksonville and other surrounding counties that make up Northeast Florida.
In the Florida crops exhibit area, the master gardeners will help with gardening questions. The Duval Extension Service offers the public the latest information on sustainability, solar advancements and eco-friendly advice.
The programing is offered along with rides, amusements, food vendors and entertainers.
The 2012 lineup of musical performers includes The Lovin’ Spoonful, Chris Cagle, Florida Georgia Line and Lee Brice.
The fair offers free admission to Jacksonville Jaguars fans who bring their ticket stubs from the Sunday and Nov. 8 games.
